Why Parkers? Why Dunbar?
A bit about me..... my connection to Scotland is through my dad who is from Edinburgh. In the 80s, my grandparents bought a flat right on the beach in North Berwick. As a family (I'm one of 4 kids) we came up to holiday all the time and from a young age I fell in love with NB. It was my happy place.

I moved up here 5 years ago and have never been happier. Initially, I moved to Dunbar and soon saw how much Dunbar was developing and that there was room for a café serving delicious coffee and food.

"Parkers" as a name came to me as Parker (dog) is a big part of my life and I think is a beautiful dog (I know I am biased!) and I didn't want something too twee. I could envisage people saying 'let's go to Parkers' and so Parkers Café was born!

I love my food and am always looking for cafes that offers a variety of healthy options and more of a brunch menu.

I felt Dunbar had a gap in the market where people could go to find yummy, healthier food options. When I knew I could make my dream become a reality I grabbed it with both hands and went for it....

When we're not working in the café you'll find us walking or running in the beautiful outdoors of East Lothian!
